Song of the Month, "The Road Less Traveled"; Upcoming Shows

Hi Guys,

Hope all is well with you! Our Song of the Month for April is called "The road Less Traveled,” a song from The Road Less Traveled CD. To read the songwriter notes, check out the lyrics, and listen to the song, click here!

We'd like to thank all of you who have attended our shows over the last couple of weeks! As always, we really appreciate your support, and without you the shows would not be any fun! Here are our upcoming shows:

On early Sunday evening, 4/18, we will be at the Canandaigua Brew Company! Scot and Shylo Caton, our next-door neighbors, are the owners, and along with them, we have developed a little Sunday night monthly jam. This is a casual event, and we will not be using a sound system. If you are a player, and you want to join us, bring your guitar, banjo, mandolin, harmonica, etc! Should be a good time! (Canandaigua Brew Company, 14 Phoenix Street, Cdga., NY, 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM, (585) 394-8485)

On Friday, 4/23, we are back at Maloney's Pub in Hammondsport! Trust me! This is a hopping place! The patrons are terrific, and they engage in the music; so, if you come, be prepared to join in the fun! In addition to music lovers, Maloney's draws some of the finest pool players in the area; so, if you are a shooter, come out and engage in some great competition! Should be a great time! (Maloney's Pub, 57 Pulteney St. (on the point), Hammondsport, NY, 9 PM to 1 AM, (607) 569-2264)

On Saturday night, 4/24, we are headed to Naples to play at the Naples Hotel. The chef has the crew shipshape, and word has it that they are cranking out some delicious entrees! We will be playing in the little bar off the dining room; we played there years ago, and it is a great little spot! Stop in and see us! Should be a good time! (Naples Hotel, 111 S. Main Street, Naples, NY, 9 PM to 1 AM, (585) 374-5630)

On Friday, 4/30, we are playing at a spaghetti dinner to benefit soldiers and veterans. This dinner is sponsored by the Blue Star Mothers, an organization of mothers who have children who were involved in the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. . Siobhan and I know many of these mothers, and we have had their children in our classes. We feel honored to have been asked to help with this worthwhile fund-raiser. This group of mothers does many wonderful things for our soldiers and veterans! Hope you can support them by making it to their dinner! (Spaghetti Dinner to Benefit Our Soldiers and Veterans, Sponsored by the Blue Star Mothers, Canandaigua Academy, 435 East Street, Cdga., NY, 4 PM to 8 PM, Call Bonnie at (585) 752-5163 or Valerie at (585) 394-8642 for tickets, (tickets: adults, $6; children, $4 (4-12); Children, free (3 and under))

On Friday, 5/7, we will be at the Lumberyard Grille in Canandaigua for a "happy hour." Along with its well-known Friday night fish-fry, the Lumberyard has many other terrific entrees! So, start your weekend off with a few drinks, a delicious dinner, and some "good time" music! (Lumberyard Grille, 106 Bemis Street, Cdga, NY, 6 PM to 9 PM, (585) 393-5550)

On Friday, 5/14, we are playing a happy hour at the Red Brick Inn in Geneva. This is a great little spot to end the week with a few cocktails and a fish-fry or some other delicious entrée. Sam, the owner, has his crew ready to go! So, stop in on your way home from work and start the weekend off right! (The Red Brick Inn, 293 Main Street, Geneva, NY, 6 PM to 9 PM, (315) 789-3247)

On Saturday, 5/15, we are back at the Inn on the Lake in Canandaigua. We play in the lounge adjacent to the dining room. Stop in after you have dinner! It's a great place to meet new people who come to Canandaigua from other areas of the country to ski, tour wineries, and attend weddings, reunions, conferences, etc. It's also just a relaxing spot to hook up with the locals and catch up on the news! (Inn on the Lake, 770 S. Main Street, Cdga., NY, 9 PM to 12:30 AM, (585) 394-7800.)

On Sunday morning, 5/16, we will be at Sonnenberg Gardens playing for the Canandaigua Great Strides. This is a benefit walk for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and as with most organizations like this, it can really use your help. Registration for the walk starts at 11 AM, and the walk begins at noon. Hey, how can you go wrong! You can help out a worthy organization by taking a walk around a beautiful garden! Hope you can make it! (Canandaigua Great Strides (benefit for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation), Sonnenberg Gardens, Cdga., NY, 11 AM to 2 PM, (585) 697-0777)

On early Sunday evening, 5/16, we will be at the Canandaigua Brew Company! Scot and Shylo Caton, our next-door neighbors, are the owners, and along with them, we have developed a little Sunday night monthly jam. (Canandaigua Brew Company, 14 Phoenix Street, Cdga., NY, 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM, (585) 394-8485)

Have to get going for now. By the way, if you know of any venue in your area where we might be able to perform (bar, coffeehouse, house concert, etc.,), let us know. We don't need very much money, and in addition to being able to visit with you, it will give us a chance to travel, meet some new people, and spread our music a little more throughout the land! Hope you are all doing well! Drop us a line and let us know what is going on for you! Love ya!
