Song of the Month, "All They Say Is Progress"; Upcoming Shows

Hi Guys,

Hope all is well with you! Our Song of the Month for March is called "All They Say Is Progress,” a song from the Home Town CD. To read the songwriter notes, check out the lyrics, and listen to the song, click here!

We'd like to thank all of you who have attended our shows over the last couple of weeks! As always, we really appreciate your support, and without you the shows would not be any fun! Here are our upcoming shows:

On Friday, 3/19, we are playing at the Market Café at Wegmans in Canandaigua. The café offers many delicious entrees as well as beer, wine, and mixed drinks. So, if you are going grocery shopping on your way home from work or you just want to go out for an early evening, stop by the café for dinner and a few tunes! It’s a great way to start off the weekend! Hope to see you there! (Market Café at the Canandaigua Wegmans, 345 Eastern Blvd., Cdga., NY, 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, (585) 394-4820)

On early Sunday evening, 3/21, we will be at the Canandaigua Brew Company! Scot and Shylo Caton, our next-door neighbors, are the owners, and along with them, we have developed a little Sunday night monthly jam. This is a casual event, and we will not be using a sound system. If you are a player, and you want to join us, bring your guitar, banjo, mandolin, harmonica, etc! Should be a good time! (Canandaigua Brew Company, 14 Phoenix Street, Cdga., NY, 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM, (585) 394-8485)

On Friday, 3/26, we are headed into Rochester to play a happy hour at Abilene’s Bar and Lounge. This is a cool little venue nestled in the heart of the city, and it just oozes with all kinds of terrific music! Being the dinosaurs we are, we are doing a Friday after-work happy hour, just perfect for our age group! Stop by for a bite to eat and a few drinks if you are in the city! Who knows? You might just stay around for the main event! (Abilene’s Bar and Lounge, 153 Liberty Pole Way, Rochester, NY, 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, (585) 232-3230)

On Saturday, 3/27, we are playing at the New York Wine and Culinary Center. They have a great little bar and restaurant on the second floor. Along with its great entrees, the Culinary Center is stocked with wine and beer that is made only in New York. If you want a Budweiser, Guinness, or some exotic wine that is made in France or Spain, this is not your place. If you are looking for something to do that is new, interesting, and fun, stop in and check it out! Should be a great time! (New York Wine and Culinary Center, 800 S. Main Street, Cdga., NY, 7 PM to 9 PM, (585) 394-7070) To learn more about the Culinary Center, click here!

On Friday, 4/2, we will be at the Lumberyard Grille in Canandaigua for a "happy hour." Along with its well-known Friday night fish-fry, the Lumberyard has many other terrific entrees! So, start your weekend off with a few drinks, a delicious dinner, and some "good time" music! (Lumberyard Grille, 106 Bemis Street, Cdga, NY, 6 PM to 9 PM, (585) 393-5550)

On Friday, 4/9, we are headed to Geneva to play a happy hour at Rylie J’s! Pat and Amy McGhann, the new owners, don’t have their kitchen up and running yet, but they put out some great snacks for the Friday happy hour! Stop by for a few drinks, some snacks, and some “good time” music! It’s a great way to start off the weekend! (Rylie J’s, 38 Seneca Street, Geneva, NY, 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, (315) 759-6050)

On Friday, 4/16, we will be playing at Don's Tavern in Canandaigua! Along with the traditional Friday night fish-fry, Don's has a number of delicious entrees on the menu! We play early! So start your weekend off with a bite to eat, a few drinks, and some "good time" music! You'll have a great time, and you'll get home at a decent hour! (Don's, 3853 Routes 5 & 20 East, Cdga, NY, 7 PM to 10 PM, (585) 394-8301)

On Saturday, 4/17, we are headed to Phelps to play at the Water Side Wine Bar! The Water Side Wine Bar, in the former Old Mill Liquor building in historic Phelps, NY, is fast becoming a destination spot for Finger Lakes area wine and beer lovers. Open Wednesday through Saturday evenings, the Wine Bar offers a full range of premium wines by the glass, craft and micro brew beers in a frosted glass, and gourmet light fare prepared on the premises created by chef Derrick DePorter. One of the most unique aspects of the business is its location overlooking the Flint Creek Waterfall. During the nice weather, you can relax on the patio and enjoy the vista of the falls which are well lit in the evening. Inside you will find the cozy wine bar along with another room with a stone fireplace and comfy leather couch. Owner Al Deporter opened the Wine Bar in October of 2008 and is constantly expanding his drink list by enhancing it with great local wines and beers. Stop by and see us! (Water Side Wine Bar, 125 Main Street, Phelps, NY, 8 PM to 11 PM, (315) 5483520) To learn more about the Water Side Wine Bar, click here!

Have to get going for now. By the way, if you know of any venue in your area where we might be able to perform (bar, coffeehouse, house concert, etc.,), let us know. We don't need very much money, and in addition to being able to visit with you, it will give us a chance to travel, meet some new people, and spread our music a little more throughout the land! Hope you are all doing well! Drop us a line and let us know what is going on for you! Love ya!
