Song of the Month, "Shake the dust Off Your Sandals"; Upcoming shows

Hi Guys,

Hope the winter is going well for you! Our Song of the Month for February is called "Shake the Dust Off Your Sandals,” a song from the Caught in the Middle CD. To read the songwriter notes, check out the lyrics, and listen to the song, click here!

We'd like to thank all of you who have attended our shows over the last couple of weeks! As always, we really appreciate your support, and without you the shows would not be any fun! Here are our upcoming shows:

On Friday, 2/19, we are playing at the Market Café at Wegmans in Canandaigua. The café offers many delicious entrees as well as beer, wine, and mixed drinks. So, if you are going grocery shopping on your way home from work or you just want to go out for an early evening, stop by the café for dinner and a few tunes! It’s a great way to start off the weekend! Hope to see you there! (Market Café at the Canandaigua Wegmans, 345 Eastern Blvd., Cdga., NY, 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, (585) 394-4820)

On Saturday, 2/20, we are back at the Inn on the Lake in Canandaigua. We play in the lounge adjacent to the dining room. Stop in after you have dinner! It's a great place to meet new people who come to Canandaigua from other areas of the country to ski, tour wineries, and attend weddings, reunions, conferences, etc. It's also just a relaxing spot to hook up with the locals and catch up on the news! (Inn on the Lake, 770 S. Main Street, Cdga., NY, 9 PM to 12:30 AM, (585) 394-7800.)

On early Sunday evening, 2/21, we will be at the Canandaigua Brew Company! Scot and Shylo Caton, our next-door neighbors, are the owners, and along with them, we have developed a little Sunday night monthly jam. This is a casual event, and we will not be using a sound system. If you are a player, and you want to join us, bring your guitar, banjo, mandolin, harmonica, etc! Should be a good time! (Canandaigua Brew Company, 14 Phoenix Street, Cdga., NY, 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM, (585) 394-8485)

On Friday, 2/26, we are back at Maloney's Pub in Hammondsport! Trust me! This is a hopping place! The patrons are terrific, and they engage in the music; so, if you come, be prepared to join in the fun! In addition to music lovers, Maloney's draws some of the finest pool players in the area; so, if you are a shooter, come out and engage in some great competition! Should be a great time! (Maloney's Pub, 57 Pulteney St. (on the point), Hammondsport, NY, 9 PM to 1 AM, (607) 569-2264)

On Friday, 3/5, we will be at the Lumberyard Grille in Canandaigua for a "happy hour." Along with its well-known Friday night fish-fry, the Lumberyard has many other terrific entrees! So, start your weekend off with a few drinks, a delicious dinner, and some "good time" music! (Lumberyard Grille, 106 Bemis Street, Cdga, NY, 6 PM to 9 PM, (585) 393-5550)

On Saturday, 3/6, we are playing at a private party! So, if you would like to have us play at your party, call us at (585) 394-8929 or email us at mcriley@frontiernet.net.

On Thursday, 3/11, we will be headed into Rochester to play at Johnny's Irish Pub for the Runnin’ O’ the Green Registration Party! Runners from around the area will be gathering to sign up for the race that will be held on Saturday morning of Parade Day, 3/13! If you are a runner, come out to Johnny’s and register! The race, a benefit for the Rochester community, is just another one of the many charitable events Johnny sponsors! Hey, if you are not a runner, come on out and support the runners as they gear up for the race! Should be a good time! (Johnny's Irish Pub, 1382 Culver Road, Rochester, NY, 7 PM to 11 PM, (585) 224-0990)

On Friday, 3/12, we will be playing at VFW Post 7414's annual St. Paddy's Day Party. Along with the music, a delicious corned beef and cabbage dinner will be available. Members and guests of members are invited. Hope to see you there! Should be a good time! (VFW Post 7414, 93 S. Main Street, Canandaigua, NY, 7 PM to ..., (585) 394-8625)

On Wednesday, 3/17, Siobhan and I return to Buffalo Bill's for the 20th annual St. Patrick's Day celebration! Buffalo Bill's is a restaurant that holds a special place in our hearts! It's where Meyer and McGuire first publicly performed as a duo, and it's where we released our first two CDs! I started working for Robin and Bill back in 1988 when they owned the Shortsville Trolley, and when they moved to Buffalo Bill's, I moved with them. Siobhan joined me in 1993, and we have played at their restaurant ever since then. Over the years, many terrific musicians have shared the stage with us there, and we have a myriad of wonderful memories. We are the house band every St. Patrick's Day, and it's always a great time! We are coming back on Wednesday to rekindle the beautiful spirit that is always generated on St Patrick's Day. Bill will cook you a delicious corned beef dinner you won't forget! Other mouth-watering entrees will also be available if you are not a fan of corned beef! So, come on over to Shortsville for a great evening of fun! You'll have a blast! (Buffalo Bill's, 19 Main Street, Shortsville, NY, 5 PM to 9 PM, 585-289-4104) To see how much fun we have at this event, check out the video of our 2008 St. Paddy's Party at Buffalo Bill's right here!

Have to get going for now. By the way, if you know of any venue in your area where we might be able to perform (bar, coffeehouse, house concert, etc.,), let us know. We don't need very much money, and in addition to being able to visit with you, it will give us a chance to travel, meet some new people, and spread our music a little more throughout the land! Hope you are all doing well! Drop us a line and let us know what is going on for you! Love ya!
Siobhan and Frank
